The Price Is Right Searches For Its Newest Model
CBS's THE PRICE IS RIGHT, television's longest-running game show, launched a nationwide search for its newest model, Saturday, July 26, at the Brighton Summerfest in Detroit, Mich. WWJ-TV, the CBS-owned station in Detroit, held open auditions in downtown Brighton. Details, applications, rules and eligibility information can be found at www.wwjtv.com.
Additional cities will be announced in the coming weeks. In September, one winner from each market will be chosen to come to Los Angeles and audition for the producers of THE PRICE IS RIGHT. The top five finalists from those auditions will each have the opportunity to appear on an episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT that will air October 20-24. Viewers will be able to vote online for their favorite finalist. The winner will be announced on air November 7 and appear on an upcoming week of shows.
